Strange gap in square root overbar/division bar

Post by trb7074 »

Good morning,

I'm a new user to LaTeX, so forgive me if this is a stupid question.

I've created a document using MiKTeX/TeXworks and everything has been going rather smoothly, but there's a particular section in my document where I'm seeing gaps in the square root overbar and division bar of my expression.

Here's what I mean:

If I change zoom levels, the gap is still there, but it will shift to a different position along that same part of the expression. Is there a way to prevent this from happening?

Thanks!
