WinEdt ⇒ adobe acrobat instead of reader
adobe acrobat instead of reader
today, for no apparent reason Acrobat (v.5.0) itself is launched. I only need Reader, and Acrobat takes a long time to load up. Any suggestions on how I can switch back?
Thank you!

check the settings in menu: Options/ Execution Modes, 4th tab "Adobe Reader", the filename in PDF viewer executable.

Thanks for your response. I don't think that I quite understood your reply. In Option-Execution Modes there is no tab that says ``Adobe Reader", nor do I see anything like PDF viewer executable. Do you think that you could elaborate?

I run a WinEdt 5.5 installation. But its on my old windows computer, now I am using KILE with Ubuntu Linux.
So its possible that there is a difference in configuration.
When I open the dialog Execution Modes, I can switch to the tab "Adobe Reader", the button for this is on top of the Execution Modes window, in the middle.
